RECRUITMENT PRIVACY · 9 OCTOBER 2026
Your information.
Your application.
Who is responsible?
Quest Training and Recruitment Limited (company number 16392256) is responsible for information supplied through this application. Registered office: Office 5, 3d Mackenzie Industrial Estate, Bird Hall Lane, Stockport, Cheshire, England, SK3 0SB. Working and correspondence address: Hadfield House, Suite 14, Gordon Street, Stockport, SK4 1RR. Contact [email protected] with a recruitment privacy question or complaint.
What we collect and why
We collect contact details, address and activity history, experience, availability, qualifications, relevant licence information and the supporting documents you choose to submit. This helps us assess your application, communicate with you, seek appropriate references and arrange checks for the role.
We use necessary information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, meet legal obligations such as right-to-work checks, and pursue legitimate interests in recruiting suitable people and protecting our workforce and clients. We do not rely on a blanket consent to process everything. Any further sensitive vetting information will be requested separately with the relevant explanation and lawful conditions.
Who can access it?
Authorised Quest recruitment staff can access applications. We use contracted service providers for website hosting, secure record and document storage, identity verification for staff access, and email delivery. These providers process information to support our recruitment service. Only information necessary for an agreed recruitment purpose should be shared with clients, referees or screening providers. Where information is processed outside the UK, applicable data-transfer safeguards are required. Contact us for details of the recipients and safeguards relevant to your information.
Saving a draft
Choosing Save for later stores an encrypted copy of your answers for seven days from your latest save. Files are not included. Anyone holding your private return link can retrieve those answers; do not share it. You can delete a saved draft using that link. Expired drafts become inaccessible immediately and are removed during subsequent application-service cleanup. Storage-provider backups may retain copies for their configured recovery period.
Submitting an application
Your submitted answers and chosen documents are saved in a private Quest recruitment system. We retain an original application PDF and a separate working record. Authorised staff can correct details, add screening notes and update progress; changes record the staff member and time. The applications mailbox receives a notification with the original PDF and documents. Our default recruitment-file review date is six months after submission. Authorised staff may set a three- or six-month review period and must record a reason for any reset. The portal highlights files 30 and 15 days before review and keeps overdue files visible until staff delete them or document a continuing need. Records are not deleted automatically. Unsuccessful applications are normally deleted at their three- or six-month review unless a documented need requires longer retention. Relevant successful applicants' records may be transferred into personnel records under a separate employment retention schedule. Deleting a portal folder removes its active record, history and stored documents; email attachments, downloaded copies and service-provider backups require separate retention handling. A minimal deleted reference and deletion date are retained to prevent accidental re-creation by a repeated submission. Backup copies are subject to the relevant service recovery periods and must be handled under our retention arrangements. This form does not enrol you in a separate future-vacancy mailing list.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access to your information, correction of inaccurate information and, where applicable, erasure, restriction, portability or objection to processing. Access requests are normally free. Contact us at the email address above. We will acknowledge data-protection complaints within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Ongoing work checks
For successful applicants, authorised staff record relevant licence and certificate expiry dates, training renewals, verification dates and work review decisions. We use these records to identify required checks and renewals before assigning work. A successful recruitment outcome does not itself confirm eligibility for every role.
Recruitment decisions
Applications are reviewed by people. This form does not automatically reject candidates based on their answers. Uploading a document does not mean a right-to-work, licence or screening check has been completed. Do not send bank details, medical records or criminal-record documents through this initial form.
